My Story

Hi, I’m Christina

a social worker, somatic therapist, and passionate mover.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve made sense of the world through feeling and experiencing. Before I had words, I had a felt sense. This way of knowing has always guided me, and it continues to shape how I move through life and how I work with others.

As a child, the intensity of my inner world often felt like too much to hold. In the wake of pain, loss, childhood abuse, and relational wounds,  I learned to see my feelings as too big or unsafe to express.

But over time, I came to understand: the feelings themselves weren’t the problem. When we stay with them, gently and patiently, they move. And we do too.

Movement has always been part of my healing. From my early years as an athlete, to the secret joy of dancing alone in my room, to discovering strength training, yoga, and eventually somatic therapy—each experience has brought me closer to myself. These practices helped me feel safe in my body again, and gave me the courage to live more truthfully and fully.

My journey hasn’t been one I’ve walked alone. I honour the teachers, communities, and guides who’ve supported me along the way. The path of healing although personal is also one shared as a collective. This is why my work is rooted in relationship—within ourselves, with our bodies, and with a compassionate other who can hold space without judgment.

I believe in authenticity, softness, and the sacred messiness of being human.

As your therapist or coach, I’m here to offer a space where you can slow down, feel what’s present, and begin to make sense of what’s been unspoken or long held. You don’t need to have the ‘right words’ or have it all figured out. I’ll meet you just as you are—with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for your wholeness.

Together, we’ll create space for you to return to yourself.

Study and Practice

I come to this work with a Bachelor of Social Work and over a decade of experience working in community, walking alongside people in moments of both challenge and resilience. I’ve worked in diverse settings. From disability, homelessness, women’s services, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-controlled organisations, each teaching me about the profound ways trauma shapes both individuals and communities — and how deeply we long for connection.

I’ve continued to grow through ongoing training in specialised trauma training and counselling skills. I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker from the AASW.

I’m a registered Yoga Teacher (200hr in Vinyasa, Hatha, and Ashtanga), and remains a central part of my own practice and the way I support others in reconnecting with themselves.
